First Private Waste to Energy Plant
Green Star CRE Energy Plant, commercially operating from 2022, is the first Waste to Energy project invested by the private sector in Vietnam. The plant applies advanced Waste to Energy technology from Republic of Korea, having the ability to burn both municipal and industrial waste and utilize the heat generated in the incineration process for electricity generation.
After going into operation, the plant will be the optimal solution to industrial and municipal waste treatment in part, helps minimize the accumulation at almost-full landfills in Bac Ninh province.
GCEP is one of the pioneering factories in Waste to Energy movement which is seen as a potential pathway for sustainable development and circular economy in Vietnam.

- Investor: Green Star Environment Company Limited (Vietnam) and Chosun Refractories ENG Company Limited (Republic of Korea)

- Located in the Waste Treatment Complex of more than 4ha
- Treatment capacity: 180TPD
- Electricity capacity: 6.1MW
